Ever wondered what happens before a Brooke Closet article shows up in your feed? Here’s the whole process as it works now, from the first question to the moment a post goes live, plus what happens when something needs fixing.
Why Brooke Closet Exists
Hi, I’m Louis, or at least that’s the pen name I write under here. Louis K. Hickman is one person, based in Vietnam, running a small group of sites. Brooke Closet covers jeans, skirts, tees and jackets styled for work, weekends and nights out, seasonal outfit formulas, try-on hauls, and a few stories from fashion history and the designers behind it.
How a Brooke Closet Article Comes Together
- Picking the question. I start from things people search on Google and save on Pinterest.
- Reading what already ranks. For a researched article, I start from the guides that already rank for that question, usually 5 to 9 of them.
- The first draft. AI writes the first draft from those pages. The answer goes near the top, and the details follow.
- Checking the numbers. In researched articles, figures in the AI draft are checked against the pages they came from, and mismatches are flagged before I review the post. Idea collections and roundups don’t get that check.
- My read. Nothing goes up on Brooke Closet until I’ve read it start to finish and cut what doesn’t belong.
What the Number Check Looks At
When a researched article goes through that check, it covers size charts, measurements, fabric content and prices. It compares the draft with its own source pages, and that’s all it is.
Fit and Sizing
- Check the brand’s own size chart. Sizes differ between brands, and even between styles from one brand, so measure yourself and compare before you order.
- Read the care label. Washing and drying tips in an article are general. The label sewn into the garment is the one to follow.
- Prices and stock move. A piece in an outfit idea may sell out or change price after a post goes live.
I’m not a professional stylist. If a Brooke Closet article ever reads as if a safety step can be skipped, tell me and I’ll fix it.
Pictures and Affiliate Links
Pictures on Brooke Closet come from two places. Many come from people who share them publicly on Pinterest and Instagram, and each of those carries the @handle of the account that shared it, linked to the original post. The others are AI-generated illustrations of an outfit or a styling idea, not photos of a real person’s wardrobe. Some Brooke Closet articles link to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. A short affiliate note also sits under the title of every post. No brand pays to change what an article says.
Found Something Wrong?
If you find a wrong size tip, a product that has sold out for good or a link that no longer works, I’d like to hear about it. Email [email protected] and I’ll fix it.
